Frances I. Boulduc, age 84, of Grafton, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022, at First Care Health Center, with her family by her side.
Frances I. Chester was born March 18, 1938, in Grafton, daughter of the late Charles R. and Anna Marie (Burns) Chester. She received her education at District 13 East, Marshall County, Minnesota, and went on to receive her GED and took some college courses. Frances was united in marriage to Edward A. Boulduc on Oct. 28, 1952, in St. Thomas. She and Edward initially made their home in Drayton before farming together in Halma and Karlstad, Minnesota. In 1970, they moved to Grafton where she began her 27-year career at the Life Skills and Transition Center. Frances also received numerous awards during her many years as an Avon representative in the area.
Frances was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She was an avid reader, she loved to cook, especially for family and friends, and was a talented seamstress and crocheter. Frances cherished her time visiting with friends and trips to the lake for camping and fishing and playing cards with friends. Frances will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Frances is survived by her children: Fran Coulthart (Paul Osowski), Grafton, Richard Boulduc, Rapid City, South Dakota, Michael (Sherri) Boulduc, Oakwood, Mary (David) Hills, Grafton, and Irene ( James) Olson, Grafton; son-in-law, Darrell Graber, Cape Coral, Florida; 11 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren with one on the way; and 16 step great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild on the way; and sister-in-law, Jean Boulduc, Drayton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She is preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister; her husband; daughter, Beverly Graber; granddaughter, Amanda Boulduc; son-in-law, Larry Coulthart; and special friend, Gary LeBlanc.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service and rosary at 7 p.m. at Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends and family may also call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery in the spring. Memorials may be sent in Frances’ memory to First Care Health Center, Unity Medical Center, Valley Ambulance or St. John’s Catholic Church.
