A precious gift

Heather Dreger, left, board member of Pregnancy Help Center in Park River, accepts a check from Necole Frances Johnson, granddaughter of Ole Aasand, who donated $2,500 in memory of his wife Frances Aasand. The total donation of $25,000 will be dispersed on the couple’s wedding anniversary of June 27, every year for 10 years in the amount of $2,500.

Grafton Central School

Forest River Colony crews were removing some of the salvageable items from the old Central School building Monday prior to its being razed. The building will be torn down in June or July when the landfill has dried out to be able to accept the debris. Workers are wearing masks because of all the dust particles in the air.

Counties seek Self-Help applications

Walsh and Pembina counties are currently seeking cities interested in funding assistance for community betterment projects.
